What is left of NATO after Spain, Greece and Turkey walked out and the Europeans built their own union.
In our world
Twelve countries signed the North Atlantic Treaty in Washington on 4 April 1949: an attack on one would be an attack on all. NATO outlived the Cold War it was built for; in March 1999 Poland, Hungary and Czechia joined and it reached nineteen members.
In TND
In TND the alliance died of the 1990s. Spain walked out in the panic after Chernobyl in 1986. The Gulf War cost Europe thousands of dead in a war Washington had promised would be easy, and when the summit of January 1993 could not agree on Yugoslavia, America and Britain went in without France, Germany and Italy. Greece and Turkey, fighting each other in the Aegean, both left in 1995.
By 1996 NATO was the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada - an Atlantic rump with no European mainland, watching the continent build an army of its own.
